Price quotes for additional figures on the same canvas are available upon request. Travel expenses for the artist are not included. Framing and shipping are in addition to the price listed above. A deposit of 40% will be due in advance. The balance is due at completion of commission and acceptance by the client. CREATING AN The first meeting can be either at the home of the subject or at the artist's studio. The basic composition, size, pose, format, type of clothing, tone, background, and lighting are all considered. |
A series of digital photographs is taken. They will then be download into a high resolution laptop computer program so that the client can review the shots immediately. The photographs are analyzed and the final decision is made as to pose and tone of the painting. If necessary, additional photographs can be taken at a second photo shoot. Upon completion of the painting, a meeting is arranged for the final sitting of the subject if necessary and delivery of the portrait is agreed upon. On the occasion that the subject is not available (as in a posthumous portrait), the portrait can be created using available photographs. |
